Photographic projects help me to connect with people and their stories. Sitters were asked  to write a saying that they may have been told by their parents or write something that they felt poignant enough but in their own language.

The outcomes are many. An appreciation of how beautiful another language can be written and that humour and wisdom are common to all cultures. The meaning of a statement also is not instant but instead extracted over time.
